Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Yusuck Mi (ranked 4617 p4p, 4635 weight class) and Chris Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Chris Diaz!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, John Roberts and Russell Pearce.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mi fails with a takedown attempt.
Chris Diaz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Diaz shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Mi as he avoids it easily.
Mi tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Diaz is able to avoid easily.
Mi looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Mi scores with a crisp jab that stopped Diaz in his tracks.
Mi scores with a jab to the jaw.
Mi scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Diaz tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Mi paws at him with a jab and circles away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Mi was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Yusuck Mi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chris Diaz.

Mi is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Diaz is still on wobbly legs! Can Mi finish him?
Diaz shoots in for a takedown but Mi shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Diaz seems to have recovered his senses.
Diaz leaves Mi with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Mi fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Diaz shoots in looking for a takedown. Mi tries to sprawl out of it but Diaz keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Mi manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Mi lands a left and a right that send Diaz crashing to the mat, dazed. Mi thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Diaz wants to clinch.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Diaz closes the distance and clinches.

Mi manages to break the clinch.
Diaz misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Mi throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Diaz feints the counter takedown.
Diaz's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Mi connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Diaz scrambles back to his feet.
Mi swinging wildly here.
Mi lands with a shot to the body.

Diaz fails to land the takedown.
Diaz has a takedown stuffed.
Diaz fails with a takedown attempt.
Diaz looks winded!
Mi lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Diaz circles away quickly and effectively.
Mi tries a head kick but it misses.
Mi bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Diaz's head.
Mi misses with a two punch combination.
Diaz moves in looking to clinch but Mi pushes him off.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Diaz dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Mi. That did some damage!
Diaz wants to clinch but Mi slips to the side
and Mi makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Mi is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Diaz tries to clinch there but Mi circles away.
Diaz dives in and grabs Mi's left leg, looking for a takedown. Mi pushes down on Diaz's head and hops out.
Mi moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Mi stuffs the takedown.
Mi scores with a shot to the body.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Mi lands a slapping body shot.
Diaz slips a jab and a cross from Mi.
Mi lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Mi scores with a hook.
Diaz tries to clinch but Mi moves out of range.
A little feinted left hand from Mi on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Yusuck Mi dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Diaz avoids the head kick by Mi.
Mi throws a body kick that misses.
Diaz takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Mi is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Diaz can do to turn this around?
Mi lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Diaz clinches up with Mi and pushes him back against the cage.
Mi wants to break the clinch but can't.
A frustrated look appears on Mi's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Mi breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Diaz throws a lazy uppercut
and Mi counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Diaz thinking.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Diaz takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Mi throws a right and a left that Diaz avoids nicely.
Diaz shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Mi defends it nicely.
Diaz is breathing heavily.

Mi lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Mi connects with the punch.
Mi scores with a jab to the head.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Diaz.
Mi dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
OH! Diaz has been rocked by a huge right hand and is in deep trouble! Mi smells blood and charges in for the finish! Mi unloads a vicious overhand right and connects to the jaw of Diaz sending him face first to the canvas! Unbelievable!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:06 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Yusuck Mi!
