PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kylar Tyco (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tom Jerry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Kylar Tyco has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Kylar Tyco seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jerry drives through with a takedown into guard.
Jerry postures up.
Jerry wants to control from the top but Tyco keeps moving.
Tyco wants to sweep but no luck.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Jerry shoots for a double leg takedown but Tyco sprawls well. He's pushed Jerry's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Tyco will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Tyco tries to clinch but Jerry is having none of it.
Jerry looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Tyco misses with a takedown attempt - Jerry sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Jerry throws a right hand that Tyco ducks under and follows up with a left that Tyco also avoids with ease.

Tyco bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Tyco wants to get up but he can't break Jerry's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Jerry is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Jerry has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Tyco can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Jerry is adopting a defensive guard.

Tyco goes for a takedown attempt but Jerry pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Tyco tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Jerry wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Jerry cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Jerry misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Tyco.
Tyco fails with the takedown.
Tyco looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

and Jerry counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Jerry gets to his feet - Tyco follows without any prompting.

Jerry bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Jerry is looking to take a break and control but Tyco is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Tyco tries to buck Jerry off but Jerry is having none of it.
Jerry has knee on belly and moves into mount.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Tyco is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Tyco is looking to improve his position but Jerry isn't that keen on the idea.

Tom Jerry showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Let's hope that Jerry has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Jerry drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Jerry jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Horrible takedown by Tyco or perhaps it was just good defense by Jerry which made him look bad.

Jerry feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Jerry is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Tyco is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Tyco has escaped and now he's on top!

Jerry had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Tyco is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Jerry Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Tyco's back instead.

Jerry working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet.
