The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oliveira has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Christ finds it's way round the side to connect with Oliveira's head.
Oliveira throws a big shot that misses.

Oliveira shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Christ pushes Oliveira off and gets back to his feet.
Oliveira has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Oliveira darts in looking for a takedown but Christ gets double underhooks and turns Oliveira into the cage.
Christ has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Oliveira tries to close the distance and clinch up but Christ swats him away and circles back towards the center.
