Coming up we have a welterweight kickboxing rules bout between Tom Louis (ranked 23296 p4p, 6485 weight class) and Flavio Ruas (ranked 624 p4p, 586 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tom Louis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Flavio Ruas!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Franklyn Lucas and Lou da Vinci.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ruas pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Ruas digs a good body shot into Louis's ribs.
Ruas throws a big shot that misses.
Ruas lands a slapping body shot.
Ruas throws out a loose jab but Louis uses good head movement to avoid it.
Louis is looking for a counter combo.
Louis works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Louis fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Ruas manages to avoid it.
Ruas is trying to counter with his kicks.
A jab from Ruas does it's job there.
Ruas missing with a left hand there. Louis was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
A slow jab from Ruas misses its intended target.
A little feinted left hand from Louis on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Louis pulls out of a head kick attempt.
A looping hook to the body misses from Louis. Ruas does a little dance to reset his feet.
Ruas swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Louis cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Ruas looks to throw the jab but Louis is out of range.
Ruas ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Louis moves away.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Ruas misses with a left hand
and Louis counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Louis has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Desert Fitness & Training (14 Elite Coaches) in the buildup to the fight.

Ruas circles away from the clinch attempt
and Ruas connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Louis blocks a jab.
Louis slips under a jab from Ruas.
Ruas with a hook.
Ruas fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Louis on the side of the head.
Ruas lands a nice shot to the body.
Louis jabs Ruas to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Ruas lands a nice leg kick that just misses Louis's sensitive parts.
Flavio Ruas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Louis moves into range and connects with a jab.
Louis tries to clinch but Ruas moves out of range.
Louis moves in looking to clinch but Ruas pushes him off.
Nice uppercut there from Louis.
That's two minutes gone in the round.

Louis darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Ruas is rocked!
Louis closes the distance and catches Ruas with a lead hook that drops him to the canvas! Ruas is clearly dazed and struggling here! 3,4,5,6,7 and Ruas is up to his feet but the referee has called it off! Ruas is still far too wobbly and he's not going to allow the fight to continue! Louis takes it!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punch). Tom Louis!
