Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tony Bova (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jone Jens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bova comes into the arena with I came to bring the pain! blaring out of the sound system. Jens has chosen Back in Black as his entrance music. The key to victory for Tony Bova has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Chris Downing and Frank Dennis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jens fails with a takedown attempt.
Bova fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Jens.
Bova throws a right and a left that Jens avoids nicely.

Tony Bova has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jone Jens.

Jens fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Bova sprawls well initially but Jens persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Bova instigates a clinch.
Jens's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Jens throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Bova's waist but Bova gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Jens off to one side.

Jens is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Bova is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Bova has escaped and now he's on top!

Bova seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

Bova stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Jens to get to his feet.
Bova shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Jens pinned against the cage. Jens gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Bova will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Bova rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Jens moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Jens is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Bova is not content to let Jens control the position.
Jone Jens has got the better of the ground game so far.
Jens misses with a head shot. Bova uses the momentum to regain guard.
Bova keeping moving, preventing Jens from controlling successfully.

Jone Jens showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Bova's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Jens shoots for a double leg takedown but Bova sprawls well. He's pushed Jens's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Bova throws a right hand that Jens ducks under and follows up with a left that Jens also avoids with ease.

Jens thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Jens is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Bova is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Jens tries to score with some ground and pound. Bova controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Jens laying and praying for a moment but Bova takes advantage and regains half guard.
Jens stalling away here and it's allowed Bova to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Jens trying to move into half guard but instead Bova has managed to sweep!

Jens looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Bova has picked Jens up and slammed him! Jens can't keep hold of the triangle and Bova manages to pass to side control!

Bova stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Bova tries to close the distance and clinch but Jens swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Bova misses with a two punch combination.
Jens shoots in but no luck this time.
Bova will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

and Bova counters with a left and a right that stings Jens.
