Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Von Killjoy (ranked 5112 p4p, 6145 weight class) and Ronan Vella (ranked 401 p4p, 440 weight class). Vella has chosen Kid Ink ft. Chris Brown - Show Me as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Von Killjoy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ronan Vella !
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Bruno Hogan and Eliza Hachem.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vella fails in his attempt to clinch.
Vella lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Vella throws a series of punches but Killjoy moves out of range.
Killjoy drops down looking for a counter takedown but Vella sprawls and moves away.

Vella has closed the distance and engaged Killjoy in a clinch.

Killjoy turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Killjoy manages to end up in side control.
Vella is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Killjoy asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Killjoy tries for a kimura but Vella is defending well.

Killjoy swings around for an armbar but Vella sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Killjoy's guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Killjoy isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Vella stacks Killjoy on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Vella !

Vella tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
Killjoy tries to buck Vella off but Vella is having none of it.
Killjoy manages to work his way to half guard, despite Vella 's best efforts.

Killjoy looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Killjoy tries to get to full guard but Vella has control of the leg.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Killjoy trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Vella manages to pass to mount!
Killjoy is in all sorts of trouble here.
Killjoy bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Killjoy wants to control from the top but Vella keeps moving.

Killjoy slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Killjoy trying to move into half guard but instead Vella has managed to sweep!

Killjoy looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Vella passes into side control.
Killjoy wants to control but Vella postures up.
Killjoy trying his best to control but Vella has mounted him.

Killjoy regains half guard.
Vella really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Killjoy. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Killjoy is trying to maintain the position but Vella is very close to passing his half guard.

Killjoy looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Killjoy wants to control but Vella is keeping busy and won't allow it.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Killjoy has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Vella . Oh but Killjoy has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Vella goes limp - he's gone! Killjoy jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
