Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ceedee Queen (ranked 1227 p4p, 2172 weight class) and Lou Valentine (ranked 178 p4p, 296 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ceedee Queen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Lou Valentine!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Bruno Hogan and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A looping hook to the body misses from Queen. Valentine does a little dance to reset his feet.

I was talking to Queen's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Queen shoots in looking for a takedown. Valentine tries to sprawl out of it but Queen keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Valentine manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Queen looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Valentine with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Valentine is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Queen's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Queen's back!
Valentine is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Queen is defending well though. Valentine let's go of the attempt for now.

Valentine has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Queen is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Valentine.
