Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Das Boot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Desmond Fox (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fox has chosen Hardrock Hallelujah {Lordi} as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Das Boot!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Desmond Fox!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, James Atkins and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boot throws a low kick but Fox avoids it.
Boot tries to bum rush Fox with a series of wild strikes but Fox uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
A left and a right from Boot both land. Nice combination.
Fox shoots in but Boot avoids the takedown attempt easily.
A punch combination from Boot misses.
Fox shoots in for a takedown but Boot shows good takedown defense.
Boot throws a series of strikes that have Fox backpedaling.
Boot rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Fox moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Boot clinches up against the ropes.

Fox drags the fight down to the ground.
Fox keeping moving, preventing Boot from controlling successfully.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Fox had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Boot is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Fox Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Boot's back instead.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Fox is hanging on to Boot's back as he tries to escape.
Boot manages to reverse the position and now he's in Fox's guard. Nice work there by Boot.

Fox has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Boot can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Fox wriggles free and stands up.
Fox avoids the body shot from Boot.
Das Boot seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Boot missing with a left hand there. Fox was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Boot throws a series of punches but Fox avoids them all with ease.

Boot gets a clinch.

Fox gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Boot controls Fox momentarily but Fox frees himself.
Boot is really struggling to control Fox but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Boot thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

Boot working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Fox doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Fox manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Boot darts in and clinches Fox up against the ropes.

Boot wants to break the clinch but can't.
Fox has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Boot is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Das Boot has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Desmond Fox.
Boot has had enough of the clinch but Fox keeps him there for the moment.

Fox tightens his grip and picks Boot up, before dumping him to the ground. Boot manages to land in guard.

Fox is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Boot shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Fox but Fox pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Fox looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Boot is fending him off so far but Fox persists. Nope, Boot circles away and we're back to standing.

The fighters are battling for position here. Boot manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Fox drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Boot dives on top into guard.

Fox has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Boot can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Fox wants to stand up but Boot is controlling him.

Boot drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Boot jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Boot landing with the ground and pound.

Fox is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Boot is in close to Fox's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Boot not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Boot tries to lock up and control but Fox gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Desmond Fox showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Boot avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Boot slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Boot trying to control but Fox is working from the bottom.

Fox escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Boot gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Fox is looking for a triangle here but Boot uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Boot wants to lay and pray for a moment but Fox keeps working.
Fox tries to contro but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad.
Boot postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Fox looks a forlorn figure.
Fox is wriggling around trying to escape.
Fox is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.

Boot lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Fox hang on?
Fox is squirming around, avoiding Boot's attempts to control the action.

And that's the end of the fight!
Das Boot showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Boot has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
