PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Alexander Stevens (ranked 4761 p4p, 5420 weight class) and Motshan Bogachev (ranked 529 p4p, 554 weight class). Stevens comes into the arena with Jailhouse rock blaring out of the sound system. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stevens ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Bogachev thuds his right hand into Stevens's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

It looks like Alexander Stevens has been cut.
Bogachev connects with a solid leg kick.
Bogachev swats away the attempt to clinch by Stevens.
Stevens fails with the takedown
and Bogachev counters with a nice body kick.
Alexander Stevens seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Bogachev.
Stevens is breathing heavily.
Stevens misses with a takedown
and Bogachev counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Bogachev throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Bogachev dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Stevens. That did some damage!

Bogachev lands a big head kick that sends Stevens tumbling to the mat! Bogachev takes a step backwards and waves Stevens back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Stevens is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Bogachev thuds a left hand into Stevens's body.
Oh Stevens is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Stevens glances at the clock... BAM! Bogachev nails him with a big right hand! A momentary lapse in concentration sends Stevens crashing to the mat! The referee steps in and this one is over! Damn, Stevens is out of it, he thinks the ref is his opponent!
