The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tautua with a lazy takedown attempt
and Okafor cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
We've been hearing reports that Tautua has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Tautua shoots in and drives through. Okafor sprawls well.
Tautua moves out of range as Okafor throws a body kick.
Tautua changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Tautua will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Okafor now looks to counter with a shot at the body.

and Okafor counters with a crisp right that sends Tautua to the canvas! Okafor follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!

In his post fight interview, Sunshine Okafor started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
