The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aori throws a right and a left that Derone avoids nicely.
Mitsuki Aori seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Aori rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Derone counters with a one-two to the body.
Aori missing with a left hand there. Derone was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Derone has eaten all the pies!
Aori throws a lazy uppercut
and Derone connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Derone takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Aori misses with the combination.
Aori scores with a hook to the body. Derone takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Aori jabbing away but nothing is landing.

Aori lands a left and a right that sends Derone crashing to the canvas! Aori dives into mount looking to finish!

Derone is rocked!

It looks like Conald Derone has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Aori misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Derone is still in real trouble! Can Aori finish him?
