Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Theodore Cummings!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Renato Vieira!
The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Colin Fray and Chris Saunders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vieira with a poor takedown
and Cummings counters by clinching up.
Vieira is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Cummings pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Vieira's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Cummings is trying to trip Vieira. He has hold of a leg but Vieira is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Cummings persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Vieira is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Cummings knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Vieira on the ground.
Vieira working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Cummings doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Cummings manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Vieira has his feet on Cummings's thighs here. He's pushed Cummings off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Cummings screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
