The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Karaev wants to clinch up but Kalishevski keeps it at a distance.

A head kick lands from Kalishevski that sends Karaev to the canvas. Karaev tries to scramble back to his feet but Kalishevski brings him back down into side control.

Sergei Karaev's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Kalishevski is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
