Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Bryce Michel!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jasper Harrington!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Dillan Fox and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Michel throws a sloppy head kick and Harrington moves out of range easily.
Michel is looking to clinch.
Harrington changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Harrington is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Michel fails in his attempt to clinch.
Michel closes the distance and clinches.
Michel putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Harrington in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.
Michel lands a left hand that snaps the head of Harrington backwards.
Harrington fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Harrington jumps guard but Michel stands there with Harrington around his waist. Harrington gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Michel goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Harrington jumps into guard, dragging Michel to the mat.
Michel is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Harrington has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Michel is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Harrington.
Michel decides to stand up, so the ref orders Harrington to his feet.
Michel throws an overhand right that drops Harrington like a sack of potatoes! Michel dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Bryce Michel!
