Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kevin Richardson (ranked 4034 p4p, 5668 weight class) and Saras Kolmi (ranked 138 p4p, 180 weight class). Saras Kolmi will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kevin Richardson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Saras Kolmi!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, John Roberts and Chad Campbell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Richardson fails with a takedown attempt.
Richardson misses the shot to the body.
Richardson really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Kolmi misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Richardson is looking for a counter combo.

Kolmi moves into the clinch successfully.
Kolmi wants to take the fight to the mat but Richardson manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Richardson jumps guard but Kolmi stands there with Richardson around his waist. Richardson gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
We've been hearing reports that Richardson has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
A right handed body shot lands from Kolmi.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Kolmi can do anything to dispel that myth.
Let's hope that Kolmi has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Kolmi closes the distance and lands a one-two.

It looks like Kevin Richardson has been cut.

We've been informed that Kolmi has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
You can see the frustration on Kolmi's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Kolmi tries to bench press Richardson off him but Richardson keeps the position.

Richardson swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Kolmi moves into the clinch.

Kolmi escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Kolmi shoots in looking for a takedown. Richardson tries to sprawl out of it but Kolmi keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Richardson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Richardson tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Kolmi manages to circle out of the way.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Kolmi lands with a straight right. Richardson didn't see that one coming.

Kolmi moves into range and clinches up with Richardson.

Richardson lands a nice uppercut.
Kolmi throws an elbow but it's blocked.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Richardson has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Kolmi has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Richardson is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Kolmi.
Kolmi is working for takedown but Richardson is calmly controlling the position for now.

Richardson pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Kolmi clinches up with Richardson and pushes him back against the cage.
Richardson goes for a takedown attempt but Kolmi pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Kolmi shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Saras Kolmi showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Kolmi scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

Kolmi manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Richardson on his heels. He'll look to pass Richardson's guard now, I'm sure.

Richardson tries to get to full guard but Kolmi has control of the leg.
Well, if Kolmi is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Well Kolmi has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
