Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between George Gordon (ranked 3638 p4p, 3716 weight class) and Yuri Blanco (ranked 426 p4p, 431 weight class). Yuri Blanco looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Yuri Blanco!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Jorge Garcia and Jonathan Paton.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blanco throws a one two combo.
Gordon digs a good body shot into Blanco's ribs.
Blanco throws a sloppy head kick and Gordon moves out of range easily.
Blanco will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

and Gordon decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Blanco's guard.

Gordon shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Gordon was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Blanco enables Gordon to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Blanco manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Gordon stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Blanco swivels though and keeps the full guard.
We've been informed that Blanco has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Gordon decides to stand back up. Gordon steps back and let's Blanco get back to his feet.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Blanco is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.

Gordon lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Blanco bucks up and throws Gordon to the side - he's got back to his feet. Great escape!

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Blanco wants to stand up but Gordon is controlling him.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Gordon's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
