Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Keelen Pinkney!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Steph Curry!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Percy O'Donnell and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Curry tries to clinch there but Pinkney circles away.
Curry scores with a head kick.
Curry is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Curry gets tackled into the cage by Pinkney. Pinkney maintains the clinch.
Pinkney is pushing Curry up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Curry jumps guard but Pinkney turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Pinkney breaks from the clinch.
Pinkney takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

Pinkney shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Pinkney seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Curry is in a horrible position here. Pinkney smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Pinkney is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Curry has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Curry!

Curry pushes down on Pinkney's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Curry thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Pinkney is doing well to control the position and prevent Curry from advancing to side control.
Pinkney is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Curry can do to turn this around?

Curry is looking to clinch but Pinkney is avoiding it.

Pinkney shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Curry kicks Pinkney off and gets back to his feet.
Pinkney bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Curry's head.

Pinkney feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Pinkney is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Pinkney thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Curry gets tackled into the cage by Pinkney. Pinkney maintains the clinch.
Pinkney goes for a takedown attempt but Curry pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Curry changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Pinkney tries to avoid it but Curry manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Pinkney to the ground. Pinkney escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Pinkney will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Pinkney drives through with a takedown into guard.

Pinkney decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Curry, up you get!
Curry jabbing away but nothing is landing.

Pinkney shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Pinkney showed some decent athleticism there.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Pinkney is taking a breather. Curry says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Curry gets back to full guard.
Pinkney lands a couple of digs.
Curry controls Pinkney momentarily but Pinkney frees himself.
Pinkney wants to get up but he can't break Curry's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Curry is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Pinkney decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Curry, up you get!
