Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Jamie Potter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, James Murray!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Alec Ball and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Murray lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Potter defending well as Murray loads up on a big left hand.
Murray is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Potter.
A jab from Murray misses.
Potter is looking to counter the offense by Murray and move into the clinch.
Murray lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Potter fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Potter fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Potter throws a hook but Murray blocks it.
Potter throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Murray bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Murray thuds his right hand into Potter's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Murray lands with a right hand.
Potter fails with the takedown.
It seemed like Murray was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Murray lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Potter tries to close the distance and clinch up but Murray swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Potter takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Potter misses with a double jab.
Murray keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Potter bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Murray looks for the body kick but Potter saw that one coming.
Potter is looking to counter with a body kick.
Potter throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Murray displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Potter.
James Murray is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Murray works the jab nicely.
Murray looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Murray stuffs the takedown.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Potter tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Murray manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Potter takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Murray just misses with a punch to the body.
Murray throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Potter is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Potter uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Murray.
Potter throws a lazy head kick
and Murray counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

It looks like Jamie Potter has been cut.
Potter fails with a takedown attempt.
Murray throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Murray lands a jab to the nose.
Murray is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Potter had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into mush.
Potter checks a low kick from Murray.
Potter is looking to counter the offense by Murray and move into the clinch.

Murray looks to throw the jab but Potter is out of range.

Murray closes the distance and clinches.

Murray gets a trip takedown into half guard.
Murray takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Murray sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Potter defending well though.
Murray throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Potter wants to control but Murray is keeping busy.

Potter on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Potter tries to get out of the position.
Murray is continuing to stall.
Murray thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Potter's head.

Murray looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Murray throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Murray perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Potter has his takedown stuffed
and Murray counters with a leg kick.
Potter misses with a low kick.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Potter.
Murray finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Murray stuffs the takedown attempt from Potter. Potter gets slowly back to his feet.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

James Murray dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Jamie Potter's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Murray misses with an uppercut
and Potter counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Potter shoots in but no luck this time.
Potter backing away here, and Murray unleashes a leg kick that just misses.
Murray tried to score with a low kick but Potter checks it.
Murray avoids a punch combination nicely.
Murray is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Potter.
Potter fails with a takedown attempt.
James Murray seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Murray throws a hook but Potter avoids it easily.
Murray lunges at Potter with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Potter's hand.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Potter closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Good exchange - Murray coming out on top.
Potter swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Potter.
Murray throws a counter combo.

Murray stuffs the takedown attempt from Potter. Potter gets slowly back to his feet.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Murray fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Potter, pushing him back against the cage.
Potter jumps guard but Murray stands there with Potter around his waist. Potter gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Potter's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Potter goes for a double leg but Murray avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Murray continues to drive forward.
Potter is looking to take this one to the mat.
Murray goes for a takedown attempt but Potter pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Potter connects with a leg kick.
Potter takes one to the side of the head.
Potter takes a jab right on the kisser.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Murray smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
A punch lands to the side of Potter 's head but he takes it in his stride.

Potter is rocked!
Murray drops Potter with a naaaaasty hook - Potter is in real trouble here! Murray dives in to side control and pounds out his opponent for a TKO victory! The crowd goes nuts!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:14 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). James Murray!
