Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Heavy Metal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gene Mac (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mac has chosen The Last Song as his entrance music. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Heavy Metal!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Gene Mac!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Chad Campbell and Eddie Farnsworth.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Metal misses with the combination.
Metal tries to bum rush Mac with a series of wild strikes but Mac uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Metal throws a right and a left that Mac avoids nicely.
Metal misses with a few strikes there.
Metal throws a looping overhand right but Mac ducks down to avoid it.
Mac slips a jab and a cross from Metal.
A combination from Metal does no damage.
Metal throws a right hand that Mac ducks under and follows up with a left that Mac also avoids with ease.
Metal attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Nice takedown defense from Metal. No joy for Mac on that attempt.
Mac should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mac fails with the takedown.
Mac ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Mac drives through with a takedown into guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Mac pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Metal is keeping the position for now.

Mac drops back looking for a leg! Metal is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Metal manages to kick Mac off! Mac jumps back into Metal's guard.
Metal wants to stand up but Mac is controlling him.
Metal is breathing heavily.
Mac wants to pass the guard but Metal is keeping the position.
Mac is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Metal tries to clinch but Mac moves out of range.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Metal stuffs the takedown.
Heavy Metal has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gene Mac.

Metal rushes Mac and presses him up against the cage.
Mac tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Metal smiles and moves away.

Metal drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Mac is looking to sinch up a triangle. Metal throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Mac's body to avoid the submission. Mac has instead reached around Metal's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Mac arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
