And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Melvin Sledd!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mir scores with a shot to the body.
Sledd with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Sledd shoots in and drives through. Mir sprawls well.
Mir cracks Sledd with a right hand to the side of the head.

It looks like Melvin Sledd has been cut.
Sledd looks for a takedown but Mir sprawls well.
Sledd closes the distance and clinches up with Mir, looking for a takedown. Sledd pushes Mir against the cage but Mir circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Dim Mir has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Melvin Sledd.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Mir throws a shot from downtown. Sledd moves away and avoids it.

Sledd shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Mir's guard.

Sledd stands over his opponent and dives in with a flying punch! Mir throws up his legs and catches Sledd in a triangle! Oh this looks tight! Sledd tries to escape but he's forced to tap! Wow, fantastic work there by Mir! That came out of nowhere!
