Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joe Montana (ranked 2693 p4p, 1870 weight class) and Caleb Carouthers (ranked 356 p4p, 254 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Caleb Carouthers was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Chris Downing and Cecil Peabody.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carouthers misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Montana.
Montana was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Carouthers shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Montana defends it nicely.
It looked like Montana wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Carouthers looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Montana will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Montana lands a jab to the head.
Carouthers shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Montana defends it nicely.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Montana throws a right and a left that both miss.
Montana scores with a jab to the head.
Carouthers throws a looping overhand right but Montana ducks down to avoid it.
Carouthers has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Montana finds it's way round the side to connect with Carouthers's head.
Carouthers fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Joe Montana has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Caleb Carouthers.
Montana moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.

Montana sends Carouthers crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Montana is motioning to the referee to let Carouthers up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Carouthers is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Montana fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Carouthers looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Carouthers is still on wobbly legs! Can Montana finish him?
Carouthers walks into a straight right, dropping him to the canvas! Montana swarms him and finishes the fight with a hail of punches! What a brutal finish!
