The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Shirou Masuda and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Atkiray looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Hopkins is fending him off so far but Atkiray persists. Nope, Hopkins circles away and we're back to standing.

Hopkins paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Atkiray looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Hopkins with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Atkiray lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Hopkins on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Atkiray lands a nice short elbow.

Atkiray lands a big elbow - Hopkins is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Atkiray!
