Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Whealer Van Hire!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jan Sokol!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Steve Montenegro and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Van Hire, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Van Hire looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Van Hire closes the distance and clinches.
Sokol goes for a takedown attempt but Van Hire pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Van Hire fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Sokol, pushing him back against the cage.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Sokol.
Sokol takes a shot to the head.
Sokol has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Van Hire avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Sokol's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Van Hire works on Sokol's body with a couple of short punches.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sokol fails to pull guard.
Whealer Van Hire has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jan Sokol.
Sokol tries to pull guard but Van Hire holds him up against the cage and eventually Sokol drops back down to his feet.
Van Hire lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.

A nice right hand lands inside from Van Hire.

Van Hire lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Sokol is rocked!
Sokol is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Van Hire is defending well.
Sokol is still on wobbly legs! Can Van Hire finish him?
Sokol's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Sokol tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Van Hire just stands there and leans against the cage.
Van Hire lands with a short shot to the head.
Van Hire lands with a light punch inside.
Sokol is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Sokol is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Van Hire to keep the fight standing.
Sokol tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Van Hire lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Sokol jumps guard but Van Hire turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Sokol is trying to pull guard but Van Hire has him pressed against the cage.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Van Hire.
Van Hire throws a big uppercut that drops Sokol! More strikes from Van Hire and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Sokol lies dazed against the cage as Van Hire celebrates with his cornermen!
