Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Paul Hudson (ranked 4490 p4p, 4748 weight class) and Alexander Middleton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Paul Hudson had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Paul Hudson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Alexander Middleton!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Nard Betker and Albert Achterberg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Middleton lands with a nice combination. Hudson backs away looking to recover.
Hudson tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Middleton is able to avoid easily.
Hudson shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Middleton defends it nicely.
Hudson throws a leg kick but Middleton moved away.
Middleton tries to counter with a clinch but Hudson shakes him off and moves away.
Hudson showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Middleton.
Middleton throws a low kick, looking for Hudson's leg but Hudson calmly moves out of range.
Middleton throws a series of punches but Hudson moves out of range.
Hudson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Hudson could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Hudson wants to slow Middleton down by chopping away at his legs.
Middleton is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Hudson takes a swing at Middleton's ribcage but misses.
Middleton was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Middleton throws a lazy right hand but Hudson sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Hudson tries to sprawl but Middleton drives through with a takedown into half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Hudson is on top in guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hudson gets to his feet. Middleton looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Hudson manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Middleton on his heels. He'll look to pass Middleton's guard now, I'm sure.
Middleton wants to get back to his feet but Hudson passes into half guard.


Hudson wants to work for an arm triangle but Middleton is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Hudson takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Middleton keeping hold of Hudson's head, controlling as best he can.

Hudson is looking to take a break and control but Middleton is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Hudson is just content to waste time from the top position. Middleton takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Hudson drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Middleton manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Hudson has Middleton in his guard.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Hudson wants to stand but Middleton is controlling the position.
Hudson manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Middleton manages to get himself to full guard.

Hudson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Middleton swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Hudson sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Middleton's guard.

That was a close round but I would say that Paul Hudson will probably get the nod.

Hudson does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Hudson throws a hook to the side of Middleton's head but Middleton sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Middleton appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.

Hudson bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Middleton's guard.

Hudson decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Middleton loads up on a big right hand but Hudson slips the punch.
Middleton misses with a series of wild punches.
Hudson changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Hudson has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Hudson takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

Hudson is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Middleton is just riding it out for now. Hudson eventually gives up the hold.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Hudson wants to take a breather but Middleton is having none of it.

Hudson is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Hudson throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Middleton works over Hudson's head and body with a nice combination.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Hudson.
Middleton blocks a head kick by Hudson.
Hudson tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Middleton swivels and escapes.
Middleton jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.

Middleton fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Hudson to the ground. Middleton is now in Hudson's guard.
Middleton is fighting to break Hudson's control of his arms but Hudson is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Middleton. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Hudson thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Hudson throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Middleton works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.

Middleton takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Hudson stops Middleton from getting back to his feet.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Hudson is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Middleton defends it well.

I would just about give that final round to Alexander Middleton.
I think Middleton has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
