Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rooster Test (ranked 4375 p4p, 734 weight class) and Jake Damien (ranked 505 p4p, 112 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Damien is trying hard to land a takedown here. Test sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Damien feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Test wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Damien manages to pass to side control.

Damien seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Damien is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Test is just riding it out for now. Damien eventually gives up the hold.

Damien looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Damien looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
