Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Akechi Yamato (ranked 4422 p4p, 3720 weight class) and Jason Ezuego (ranked 0 p4p, 449 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ezuego looks for a takedown but Yamato sprawls well.

Ezuego changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Yamato looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Yamato is looking for a sweep.
Ezuego in side control, throwing shots but Yamato defends.
A lull in the action here as Ezuego stalls from top position.
Yamato managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Ezuego.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Ezuego goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Yamato has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Ezuego but great work by Yamato.
Ezuego manages to get back to half guard.
Ezuego tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ezuego is refusing to be controlled, as Yamato sits in half guard.
Yamato tries to pass to full mount but Ezuego defends it.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Ezuego had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Yamato defends it easily.

Yamato is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Ezuego has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Yamato is looking to defend but Ezuego has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Yamato! Ezuego pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Yamato taps out and this one is all over!
