Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gordon is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Mihaljevic knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Mihaljevic for a finish.

You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.

Mihaljevic is in a bad position with Gordon working for a choke. Mihaljevic manages to spin nicely into guard and the danger is over for the moment.
Gordon is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Gordon closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Mihaljevic to the mat! Mihaljevic manages to get full guard.

Vedran Mihaljevic showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Mihaljevic lands with an uppercut that bounces Gordon off the cage and back into range.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Mihaljevic drops Gordon with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Gordon looks back up at him and smiles so Mihaljevic waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Oh Gordon is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Gordon takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Mihaljevic cracks Gordon with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Mihaljevic has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Gordon to stand back up!
Mihaljevic dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Gordon drops his hands momentarily. Mihaljevic doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Gordon staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Gordon doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.
