Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 22 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dohn Jodson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Marcus Aurelius!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jodson thows a leg kick but Aurelius checks it
and Aurelius counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Jodson jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Aurelius moves into the clinch.
Jodson pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Jodson throws a right hand that Aurelius ducks under and follows up with a left that Aurelius also avoids with ease.
A little jabbing left from Aurelius on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Jodson moves into range and connects with a jab.
Jab by Aurelius.
Jodson checks a leg kick nicely.
Aurelius uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Jodson.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Jodson! Aurelius is out on his feet! Jodson rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Aurelius is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Aurelius is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dohn Jodson!
Marcus Aurelius spoke after the fight, saying 'Nothing happens to any man that he is not formed by nature to bear. I'll be back!'.
