Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Leroy Tyson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and MONTY STEVEZ (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Steve Montenegro and Eddie Farnsworth.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tyson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around STEVEZ's waist but STEVEZ gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Tyson off to one side.
Tyson connects with a high kick.

It looks like MONTY STEVEZ has been cut.
Tyson stuffs the takedown attempt from STEVEZ. STEVEZ gets slowly back to his feet.

STEVEZ bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Tyson is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

STEVEZ decides to stand back up. STEVEZ steps back and let's Tyson get back to his feet.
Tyson shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and STEVEZ decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Tyson's guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

STEVEZ thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

STEVEZ is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
STEVEZ looks gassed!

STEVEZ drops back looking for a leg! Tyson is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Tyson manages to kick STEVEZ off! STEVEZ jumps back into Tyson's guard.
Tyson wants to sweep but no luck.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

STEVEZ is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Tyson thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Tyson is trying to control the position from the bottom.
STEVEZ not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
STEVEZ shoots in looking for a takedown. Tyson tries to sprawl out of it but STEVEZ keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Tyson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

STEVEZ drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and STEVEZ jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Tyson shoots and misses

STEVEZ jumps guard and drags Tyson to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if STEVEZ can do anything to dispel that myth.
STEVEZ manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Tyson manages to get himself to full guard.

STEVEZ feints and as Tyson raises his hands in defense, STEVEZ changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

STEVEZ drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. STEVEZ seems to have locked his on tight now - Tyson screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for STEVEZ, as he picks up the win!
