Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vinny Corcoran (ranked 925 p4p, 1218 weight class) and Jerricho Patterson (ranked 133 p4p, 173 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Vinny Corcoran!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jerricho Patterson!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Bruno Lombardi and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Corcoran tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Patterson was well out of range. Poor timing from Corcoran.
Patterson moves out of range as Corcoran strikes.
Patterson throws a jab when Corcoran was well out of range.
Corcoran was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
We've been told by Corcoran's head coaches at Paris & Sons Training Yard that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Some wild striking there from Patterson.
Corcoran throws a right and a left that Patterson avoids nicely.
Corcoran thuds his right hand into Patterson's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Corcoran lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Patterson has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Patterson and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Corcoran looks to throw the jab but Patterson is out of range.

Corcoran bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Corcoran wants to sweep here but Patterson controlling him for the moment.
Patterson wants to control from the top but Corcoran keeps moving.
Corcoran has Patterson pulled in close to control his posture.
Corcoran manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Patterson manages to get himself to full guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Corcoran not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Patterson is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Corcoran sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Patterson's guard.
Well, if Corcoran is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Patterson is looking to control Corcoran's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Patterson avoid being mounted?

Corcoran content to control rather than advance.
Corcoran wants to free his trapped foot but Patterson is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Corcoran tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Corcoran has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Corcoran tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
This is a sustained period of stalling by Corcoran.
Patterson tries to reverse the position but Corcoran maintains control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Corcoran walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Corcoran moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Patterson fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Corcoran on the side of the head.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Corcoran throws a push kick but Patterson slaps the foot to one side.
Corcoran lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Patterson at a distance.

Corcoran lands a big uppercut and this one is all over! His foe lies motionless on the canvas - a massive one punch knockout!

Vinny Corcoran was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
