Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Sammy Nyla (ranked 3462 p4p, 5170 weight class) and Jamal Hudak (ranked 426 p4p, 414 weight class). Jamal Hudak will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hudak slips under a jab.
Hudak works Nyla's body with a nice hook.
A telegraphed right hand from Nyla misses the target.

Nyla takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Hudak has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Nyla is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Nyla holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Hudak tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Hudak throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

Hudak wants to finish this one by submission but Nyla is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Hudak.
Hudak with shots to the head and body - Nyla looks very uncomfortable down there.
Nyla is in a horrible position here. Hudak smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Hudak scores with a hook to the body. Nyla takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Nyla tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Hudak manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Hudak ducks under a wild hook from Nyla.

Hudak throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Nyla tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Hudak is in Nyla's guard.
