Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dilbert The Pencil Pusher (ranked 24676 p4p, 2380 weight class) and Felipe Ferreira-Alves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Ferreira-Alves's choice of entrance music: The Mountain - Jucifer. Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dilbert The Pencil Pusher!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Felipe Ferreira-Alves!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Robert Twigg and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ferreira-Alves takes the fight into the clinch.
Ferreira-Alves wants the takedown. The Pencil Pusher is fighting it off but Ferreira-Alves persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in The Pencil Pusher's guard against the cage.
The Pencil Pusher knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Ferreira-Alves on the ground.
Ferreira-Alves won't allow The Pencil Pusher to get back to his feet.
Ferreira-Alves drops back looking for a leg! The Pencil Pusher is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and The Pencil Pusher manages to kick Ferreira-Alves off! Ferreira-Alves jumps back into The Pencil Pusher's guard.
Ferreira-Alves is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Ferreira-Alves passes The Pencil Pusher's left leg - he's now in half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ferreira-Alves is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for The Pencil Pusher!
Ferreira-Alves takes The Pencil Pusher's back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ferreira-Alves is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Ferreira-Alves gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Ferreira-Alves gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Ferreira-Alves apologises and we restart here on the feet.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Ferreira-Alves moves into the clinch.
Ferreira-Alves tightens his grip and picks The Pencil Pusher up, before dumping him to the ground. The Pencil Pusher manages to land in guard.
The Pencil Pusher wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Ferreira-Alves manages to pass to side control.
Ferreira-Alves in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. The Pencil Pusher tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Ferreira-Alves!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Felipe Ferreira-Alves!
