Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Happy Chukwudu (ranked 3340 p4p, 2467 weight class) and Raja Khanna (ranked 433 p4p, 340 weight class). Chukwudu comes to the cage accompanied by Tinariwen. Raja Khanna will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Aleksandr Martynov and Illya Tyunina.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Khanna moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.

It looks like Happy Chukwudu has been cut.
We've been informed that Khanna has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Chukwudu.
Khanna works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Chukwudu shoots for a double leg takedown but Khanna sprawls well. He's pushed Chukwudu's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

and Khanna counters with a nice right hand that sends Chukwudu toppling to the canvas! Chukwudu scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Khanna finish him?!
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Happy Chukwudu. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Chukwudu dives in and grabs Khanna's left leg, looking for a takedown. Khanna pushes down on Chukwudu's head and hops out.

Khanna stuffs the takedown attempt from Chukwudu. Chukwudu gets slowly back to his feet.
Khanna throws out a counter right but Chukwudu avoids it with no problem.
Chukwudu misses with a takedown attempt - Khanna sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Chukwudu fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Khanna sprawls well initially but Chukwudu persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Khanna is kicking away at Chukwudu from the bottom - trying to push off and stand up. Chukwudu grabs hold of a leg and drops back for a heel hook! The two fighters roll across the mat, with Khanna trying to push Chukwudu off... Khanna taps! He's tapped! This one is all over! A throwback to the old Pancrase there with an infrequently seen submission hold! Nice work.
