Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Brutalis Rhino (ranked 633 p4p, 693 weight class) and Andrew Barnes (ranked 93 p4p, 100 weight class). Andrew Barnes has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 21 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Brutalis Rhino!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Andrew Barnes!
The judges for this bout are Ben Hemmingworth, Hugh Johnson and Francis DeMontford.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rhino moves out of range of the strikes.

Rhino fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Barnes throws a right hand that Rhino ducks under and follows up with a left that Rhino also avoids with ease.
Rhino goes for a double leg but Barnes avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Barnes continues to drive forward.

Rhino is trying to trip Barnes. He has hold of a leg but Barnes is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Rhino persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Rhino really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Barnes utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Rhino is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Rhino's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Rhino is really struggling to control Barnes but he's trying to hold on to the position.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Rhino shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Barnes as he avoids it easily.

Rhino shoots for a takedown but Barnes saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Rhino scores with the left hand. Barnes knows he should have avoided that one.
Rhino tries to score a power double leg takedown but Barnes sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Rhino somewhat.

Barnes gets caught flat footed, as Rhino shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Barnes has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Rhino has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.

Barnes swings wildly with an uppercut but Rhino uses good head movement to avoid it.

Rhino fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Barnes misses with a series of wild punches.
Barnes feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Rhinos jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Rhino lands with a nice combination. Barnes backs away looking to recover.
Barnes steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Rhino.
Rhino throws a looping overhand right but Barnes ducks down to avoid it.
Barnes misses with a low kick.
Rhino blocks the body kick.
Rhino misses with a jab, cross combination.
Rhino dives in and grabs Barnes's left leg, looking for a takedown. Barnes pushes down on Rhino's head and hops out.
Barnes plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Barnes lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Rhino looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Andrew Barnes decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
