Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Willie Layer!
The judges for this bout are Ben Watson, Damien Edna and Darius Henderson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barnes with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Layer, as that shot connected.
Barnes throws a leg kick which misses Layer's front leg but catches the back leg as Layer tries to avoid it.
Barnes connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Layer's hands.
Layer throws a body punch but Barnes moves out of range.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Barnes pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Oooooh, big shot lands for Barnes! Layer is hurt baaadly! Barnes is firing away with more strikes - Layer is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!

Don Barnes decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
