Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Bobby Bomstaerk (ranked 1776 p4p, 3723 weight class) and Max Holloway (ranked 194 p4p, 359 weight class). Holloway has chosen Face the Pain as his entrance music. Max Holloway has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Bobby Bomstaerk!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Max Holloway!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, John Mangel and Skip Squint.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bomstaerk showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Holloway.
Holloway has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Holloway misses with a combination

and Bomstaerk decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Holloway's guard.
Bomstaerk working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Bomstaerk really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Holloway is looking to stand back up but Bomstaerk counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Holloway.
Bomstaerk is trying to control. Holloway wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Holloway keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Holloway pushes Bomstaerk off looking to stand but Bomstaerk dives back in and keeps control.
Bomstaerk is controlling the pace.
Holloway really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bomstaerk. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Holloway on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.

Bomstaerk passes to full mount!
Bomstaerk lands with some strikes.
Bomstaerk takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Holloway is squirming around, avoiding Bomstaerk's attempts to control the action.

We've been hearing that Bomstaerk has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

Bomstaerk is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Holloway to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Holloway shrugs it off.

Bomstaerk lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Bomstaerk looking to control but Holloway is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Bomstaerk lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Bomstaerk connects with a couple of good shots from mount.

Bomstaerk goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Holloway is on top in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bomstaerk is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Holloway defends well.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Bomstaerk is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Holloway is looking to stand up but Bomstaerk won't let him.

Bomstaerk scrambles and gets back to his feet.

Bomstaerk fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Holloway sprawls well initially but Bomstaerk persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Bomstaerk is nestled in close to Holloway, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Bomstaerk seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Bomstaerk throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Bomstaerk lands a nice short elbow.

Holloway is defending against the submission attempts here by Bomstaerk.
Holloway has hold of Bomstaerk's hands but Bomstaerk slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Bomstaerk drops an elbow to the side of Holloway's head.

Bomstaerk is trying for a kimura here. Holloway looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Bomstaerk wins by kimura!
