Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Nilson Acacio (ranked 2214 p4p, 2430 weight class) and Adam Bogo (ranked 231 p4p, 250 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bogo defending well as Acacio loads up on a big left hand.

Bogo feints and as Acacio raises his hands in defense, Bogo changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Bogo postures up in Acacio's guard and throws a big left but Acacio blocks it.
Acacio knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Bogo on the ground.
Acacio utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Bogo is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Bogo working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Acacio's head.

Bogo stands and throws Acacio's legs to the side, diving into side control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Bogo is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Acacio looks calm but he's in trouble here. Bogo gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Acacio is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Bogo lets go of the hold and Acacio can pop his arm back in it's socket.
