Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Corey McGraugh (ranked 2052 p4p, 2502 weight class) and Bam Bam Joshy (ranked 268 p4p, 318 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McGraugh on the wrong end of a nice hook.
McGraugh scores with a hook to the body. Joshy takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

and McGraugh counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Joshy is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Joshy wants to get back to his feet but McGraugh is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Joshy has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but McGraugh has passed into side control.
McGraugh creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Joshy sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

McGraugh is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Joshy's shoulder. That is not cool.

Joshy tries to escape back to his feet but McGraugh has kept hold of him... Oh, now he's got Joshy's back and is looking for the choke... Is it? Is it sunk in? YES! Joshy is tapping! McGraugh saw the opportunity and took it - ruthless!

After the fight, Corey McGraugh was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
