The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice cross by Activin.
Valentine throws a leg kick which misses Activin's front leg but catches the back leg as Activin tries to avoid it.
Activin lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Activin misses with a wild combination.

Valentine throws a half hearted mid kick.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Activin avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

and Activin cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Activin has Valentine pressed up against the ropes and is working for takedown. Valentine manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
With the two fighters working up against the ropes, Valentine just misses with a elbow thrown towards Activin's brow.

Valentine throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Activin avoids a wild elbow strike from Valentine.

With the two fighters working up against the ropes, Valentine just misses with a elbow thrown towards Activin's brow.

Activin is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Valentine wants to pass the guard but Activin is keeping the position.
Activin working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Valentine doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Valentine manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Valentine closes the distance but Activin moves to the side
and Activin counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Valentine is trying to control the position but Activin postures up.

Valentine wants to get back to his feet but Activin is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Valentine pulls Activin in close to his closed guard and prevents Activin from doing any damage or advancing position.
Activin drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Activin as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Valentine screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Activin! Nice submission victory there!
