The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thorinson tries to clinch
and Gaethje counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Thorinson tries to clinch but Gaethje is having none of it.
Thorinson moves in looking to clinch but Gaethje pushes him off.
Gaethje appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Gaethje bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Thorinson's head.
Thorinson shoots for a double leg takedown but Gaethje sprawls well. He's pushed Thorinson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

and Gaethje connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Thorinson is rocked!
Gaethje stuns Thorinson with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Oh Thorinson is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Gaethje pounces like a tiger and cracks Thorinson with a vicious hook! Thorinson is down but not out! Gaethje follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!
