Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Shawn Carter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max Imillion (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carter comes to the cage accompanied by Empire State of Mind. Max Imillion has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Shawn Carter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Max Imillion!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Gregory Folan and William Peck.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carter throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Carter rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Imillion moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Imillion fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Shawn Carter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Carter keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Carter clinches with his opponent.

Imillion's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Imillion shoots in looking for a takedown. Carter tries to sprawl out of it but Imillion keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Carter manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Shawn Carter has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Max Imillion.

A big head kick from Imillion and Carter is sent sprawling to the canvas!

Carter is rocked!

It looks like Shawn Carter has been cut.
Imillion advances position into side control!
Carter wants to get back to his feet.
Imillion cracks Carter with a big right hand but Carter just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Carter is not content to let Imillion control the position.

Imillion decides to stand up, so the ref orders Carter to his feet.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Carter misses with the combination.
Carter is breathing heavily.
Imillion cracks Carter with an open hand slap.
Oh Carter is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Imillion dives in and gets a big takedown. He lands in full mount and immediately unloads a series of heavy strikes! Carter has had enough and taps out.
