Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Hugo Olsen (ranked 2442 p4p, 2519 weight class) and Elam Armis (ranked 312 p4p, 317 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Hugo Olsen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Elam Armis!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Olsen throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Armis sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Olsen has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Nice sprawl there from Olsen as Armis shoots in.
Olsen misses with a right hand
and Armis counters with a nice double leg into side control. Olsen won't be happy with that.
Olsen can't do much from the bottom here.
Armis throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Armis accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Olsen lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
Armis pulls Olsen in close to prevent any damage.

Olsen slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Armis feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Armis working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

Olsen manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Armis manages to get himself to full guard.

Armis shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Olsen but Olsen pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Hugo Olsen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Elam Armis.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
