The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Bruno Lombardi and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Roberto showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Nurmagomedov.
Nurmagomedov throws a combination that misses
and Roberto counters with a crisp one two that drops Nurmagomedov! Roberto thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Nurmagomedov to his feet! Nurmagomedov is in big trouble!
Nurmagomedov is rocked!
A slow jab from Nurmagomedov misses its intended target.
Nurmagomedov is still on wobbly legs! Can Roberto finish him?
Nurmagomedov tries to score a power double leg takedown but Roberto sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Nurmagomedov somewhat.
Roberto connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Nurmagomedov throws a nice looking combination but Roberto bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Both fighters step back and shake their arms out. Roberto engages and cracks Nurmagomedov with a massive lead left hook - Nurmagomedov tumbles to the floor, out cold! What a shot! Roberto is delighted - all that hard work in training paid off!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Paulo Roberto!
