The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Joseph Jones and Eddie Farnsworth.


The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Turturro shoots for a double leg takedown but Shifter sprawls well. He's pushed Turturro's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Turturro is fighting to break Shifter's control of his arms but Shifter is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Our spies down at at AREA 51 inform us that Shifter has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?

Shifter bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Turturro's guard.

Turturro seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

It looks like Shifter might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Turturro has his foot on Shifter's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Shifter works his way back into a safe position though.

As we have tied on points, we go to a tie breaker and Turturro gets a bonus point for attempting more subs.
Turturro takes the fight on points by 3 to 2.
Guido Turturro opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
