Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ray Sims (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Damien Daiz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ray Sims looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Daiz tries to clinch there but Sims circles away.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Daiz.
Daiz controls the position.
Sims is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Daiz has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Sims doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Daiz counters with a series of strikes that sends Sims to the canvas! Daiz follows down into guard, looking to finish the fight!

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Daiz tries to close the distance and clinch up but Sims swats him away and circles back towards the center.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Sims crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Daiz - the referee stops the clock and Sims gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Daiz. Sims manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Sims gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Sims is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Sims manages to break the clinch.
Daiz feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Daiz shoots in looking for a takedown. Sims tries to sprawl out of it but Daiz keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Sims manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Sims had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Daiz is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Sims Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Daiz's back instead.
Sims doesn't have the hooks in and Daiz manages to turn into his guard.

Well Daiz has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
