Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Daniel Parp Cannon!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Matt Ivey!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Danga de danga de dang - Parp Cannon scores with a four punch combination!
Ivey is looking to score with low kicks.
Matt Ivey seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ivey misses with a double jab
and Parp Cannon counters with a thumping low kick.
Parp Cannon is looking to clinch.
Ivey lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Parp Cannon circles away quickly and effectively.
Ivey throws a jab but it's blocked by Parp Cannon.
A head kick misses from Ivey.
Ivey missing with a left hand there. Parp Cannon was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Donk. Ivey catches Parp Cannon right on the button with a cross.
Ivey misses with a jab, cross combination.
Parp Cannon with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Ivey on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Parp Cannon. Parp Cannon obviously looking to wear him down.
Parp Cannon could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Ivey looks gassed!
Ivey misses the shot to the body.
Parp Cannon fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
The fight stays on the outside here - Parp Cannon looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Ivey rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Parp Cannon moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Matt Ivey is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Parp Cannon buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Parp Cannon closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Parp Cannon is taking a breather. Ivey says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Ivey is refusing to be controlled, as Parp Cannon sits in half guard.
Parp Cannon is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Parp Cannon wants to control the pace but Ivey is squirming around nicely.
Ivey is trying to escape the mount but Parp Cannon keeps good control and instead manages to take Ivey's back.
Ivey really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Parp Cannon. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Ivey is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.

Parp Cannon is working the back position looking for the choke. Oh, he's slid into an armbar! Beautiful transition and Ivey taps out! Fantastic Jiu Jitsu from Parp Cannon.
