Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Adam Barnes (ranked 2947 p4p, 3645 weight class) and Glen Hoddle (ranked 365 p4p, 438 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Adam Barnes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Glen Hoddle!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Cecil Peabody and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barnes is looking to score with low kicks.
Hoddle shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Hoddle comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Barnes tries to move into range but Hoddle moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Barnes uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Hoddle.
Hoddle takes one to the chin there.
Barnes stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Hoddle.
Barnes looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Barnes staying out of range there.
Barnes displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Hoddle throws out the jab.
Barnes appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.

Hoddle throws a right hand that misses
and Hoddle takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Barnes throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Hoddle sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Hoddle throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Hoddle with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Hoddle ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Barnes moves away.
Hoddle throws a jab when Barnes was well out of range.
Barnes throws a right and a left that both miss.
Hoddle throws out a counter right but Barnes avoids it with no problem.
Hoddle connects with a right hand. Barnes shakes it off.
Hoddle cracks Barnes with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Hoddle changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Hoddle lands with a good body shot.
Hoddle lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Barnes uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Hoddle.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Barnes has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Hoddle.

Barnes swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Hoddle is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Barnes with a body shot.

Barnes looks to throw the jab but Hoddle is out of range.

Hoddle thuds his right hand into Barnes's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Barnes throws a low kick but Hoddle avoids it.
Barnes uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Hoddle.
Barnes bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Hoddle's head.
Hoddle avoids a punch combination nicely.

Barnes misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
A low kick lands for Hoddle.
Barnes misses with a body shot.
Despite the aggression on Hoddle's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Hoddle is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Barnes had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into mush.
Barnes on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Barnes takes one to the side of the head.
Barnes throws a sloppy head kick and Hoddle moves out of range easily.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Hoddle! But no joy.
Hoddle fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Barnes looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Hoddle darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Barnes attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Glen Hoddle seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Barnes takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Hoddle scores with a three punch combo!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Barnes lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Hoddle circles away quickly and effectively.

Hoddle walks into a straight right hand from Barnes.
Hoddle misses with a left hand
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Hoddle fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Barnes manages to avoid it.
Barnes scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Hoddle has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off.
Barnes ducks under a wild hook from Hoddle.
Adam Barnes is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Hoddle fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Barnes manages to avoid it.
Barnes was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Barnes connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Hoddle misses the shot to the body.
Hoddle scores with a jab. Barnes acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Hoddle scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Hoddle has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Hoddle lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Barnes or not.
Hoddle fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

Hoddle has a couple of punches blocked by Barnes.
Barnes is trying to push Hoddle away but Hoddle has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Hoddle has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Barnes after a bit of a struggle.
Adam Barnes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Glen Hoddle.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Barnes wants to sweep here but Hoddle controlling him for the moment.
Hoddle throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Barnes works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Hoddle wants to control from the top but Barnes keeps moving.

Barnes manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Glen Hoddle seems to be getting the better of the standup.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Hoddle lands with an uppercut that bounces Barnes off the cage and back into range.

Hoddle scores with a hook to the body. Barnes takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Adam Barnes is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Hoddle throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Barnes swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Sloppy strikes from Hoddle. Those never looked like landing.
Hoddle thuds his right hand into Barnes's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Barnes looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.
Hoddle uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Barnes has time to react.
Hoddle fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Barnes on the side of the head.
Hoddle lands a lovely overhand right.
Barnes tests Hoddle's chin there with a solid looking shot.

A punch lands to the side of Barnes 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Barnes moves out of range as Hoddle strikes.
Barnes looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.

Hoddle jabs Barnes right on the nose. Barnes blinks but takes it well.
Nice uppercut lands for Hoddle. That snapped Barnes's head back.

Barnes is rocked!
Hoddle dodges the punch combination from Barnes.
Barnes misses with a wild combination.
Barnes tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Hoddle is able to avoid easily.
Hoddle with a jab.
Barnes connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Hoddle lands a right hook to the body.
Barnes moves out of range as Hoddle strikes.
Barnes swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Barnes scores with a leg kick.
Hoddle moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Glen Hoddle showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Barnes loads up on a big right hand but Hoddle slips the punch.

It looks like Adam Barnes has been cut.
Hoddle cracks Barnes with an open hand slap.
Oh Barnes is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Barnes is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Hoddle.
Barnes seems to have got his legs back now.

Hoddle cracks Barnes with a big right hand and Barnes goes down!
Hoddle loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Hoddle arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Barnes's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:40 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Glen Hoddle!
After the fight, Glen Hoddle was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
