PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jill Lovelace (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fill Yourcrackin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Jill Lovelace has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Jill Lovelace seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lovelace shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Yourcrackin's guard.
Lovelace wants to pass the guard but Yourcrackin is keeping the position.

Yourcrackin has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Lovelace is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Yourcrackin.
Yourcrackin is working to avoid the ground and pound but Lovelace connects with a decent elbow.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Yourcrackin throws Lovelace to one side and escapes!
Lovelace closes the distance and clinches up with Yourcrackin, looking for a takedown. Lovelace pushes Yourcrackin against the cage but Yourcrackin circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Yourcrackin trying to stall but Lovelace improves his position.
Lovelace throws a head punch that misses.

Yourcrackin breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Yourcrackin drives through and clinches with Lovelace against the cage.
Yourcrackin can't break the clinch.
Lovelace tries for a takedown. No joy.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jill Lovelace. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Yourcrackin is looking to control Lovelace's arms but Lovelace gets an underhook and turns him. Now Yourcrackin has his back to the cage.

Yourcrackin creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Yourcrackin connects with a nasty looking knee right to Lovelace's face.

Yourcrackin has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Lovelace regains guard immediately.
Lovelace wants to sweep here but Yourcrackin controlling him for the moment.

Yourcrackin has gone for a leg lock! Lovelace slips out almost immediately though and dives into Yourcrackin's guard.

Yourcrackin working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Lovelace really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Lovelace is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Lovelace wants to control but Yourcrackin is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Lovelace is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.

Yourcrackin decides to stand up.
Lovelace throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Lovelace moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Yourcrackin tries to clinch but Lovelace is having none of it.

Yourcrackin shoots in and bounces Lovelace off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Lovelace has his foot on Yourcrackin's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Yourcrackin works his way back into a safe position though.

Yourcrackin drops back, looking for a kneebar! Lovelace looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Lovelace looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Lovelace!
Yourcrackin tries to bench press Lovelace off him but Lovelace keeps the position.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Lovelace is looking to take a break and control but Yourcrackin is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Lovelace is really struggling to control Yourcrackin but he's trying to hold on to the position.

Lovelace breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

and Yourcrackin counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Lovelace's guard now.
Lovelace knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Yourcrackin on the ground.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Yourcrackin is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Yourcrackin postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Lovelace is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Yourcrackin, into his guard.

Yourcrackin quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Lovelace has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Yourcrackin celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
