Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Naoyuki Nakano (ranked 1674 p4p, 1454 weight class) and Lazuran Riku (ranked 222 p4p, 199 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nakano throws the left hand but Riku avoids the punch easily.

Riku lets loose with a powerful body kick. Nakano will feel that in the morning.

and Riku cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Riku swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Nakano throws the kick towards the body but Riku avoids it.

It looks like Naoyuki Nakano has been cut.
Nakano has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Riku.
Nakano throws out a leg kick but Riku moves out of range and Nakano only half commits.

Riku lands a big head kick that sends Nakano to the canvas! Riku follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!
