Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mark Idionos (ranked 5284 p4p, 5074 weight class) and Boryenka Belsky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Mark Idionos!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Boryenka Belsky!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Ivan Kurochkin and Viktor Lagutenko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Idionos closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Idionos is looking for a kimura here.
Idionos seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Belsky does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Belsky moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Idionos trying to control but Belsky is working from the bottom.

Idionos drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Belsky dives on top into guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Idionos shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Belsky is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Belsky really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Idionos. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Belsky tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Belsky sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Idionos is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Belsky tries to get to full guard but Idionos has control of the leg.

That was a close round but I would say that Mark Idionos will probably get the nod.
That's time! Back to the action!

Belsky changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Idionos tries to avoid it but Belsky manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Idionos to the ground. Idionos escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Idionos throws a counter high kick but Belsky was just alert enough to avoid it.

Idionos closes the distance and clinches.

Idionos pulls guard successfully.
Belsky wants to control from the top but Idionos keeps moving.
Belsky is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Idionos is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Belsky can do to turn this around?
Belsky stops Idionos from standing up.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Idionos wants to lay and pray for a moment but Belsky keeps working.
Belsky tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Idionos wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Idionos stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Belsky tries to keep at a distance but Idionos has taken the fight into the clinch.

Idionos manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Idionos has his foot on Belsky's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Belsky works his way back into a safe position though.

Belsky got a little sloppy there for a moment and Idionos has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Belsky has managed to get both his arms back between Idionos's legs - danger averted.
